Lisa McCune Pranked Peter Helliar With A merkin On How To Stay Married

Lisa McCune left co-star Peter Helliar stunned when she donned a merkin (a pubic wig) while filming a bikini scene for their comedy series, How To Stay Married.
Appearing on on Tuesday, the 49-year-old actress revealed she had conspired with her makeup artist, Ian, in an effort to prank the comedian. 
'I was wearing some bathers and I said to [Ian] early on in the piece, "I really want to get Pete, we have to have some hair down there so it just catches Pete's eye,"' she explained.

'So we worked on it and he created this series of taped bits that we could use, and I kind of thought, maybe he will miss it, but he didn't. It was great!'

Pete, 44, who featured on The Project as a panelist, added that he 'couldn't miss it' even if he'd tried.   
'It was like I was on the set of a '70s porno, there was just bush coming out of everywhere,' he continued.

He laughed: 'It was like backburning needed to be going on! I couldn't miss it!' 
Lisa said her main goal with the prank was simply to make Pete laugh, and she confessed she was yet to see the footage from the episode.   
'It was a bikini paragraph, as I've heard it described before, not a bikini line,' she added.

It seemed to have provided Pete with some much-needed comic relief, after he revealed on  on Tuesday that he was so stressed while filming the show, he was sometimes left unable to stand. 
'There are scenes where I'm sitting down for no reason because I couldn't really stand anymore,' he admitted. 
'I had all these body tremors in a week, I was directing an episode and acting as well.'  
'It was like I was on the set of a '70s free home made porno, there was just bush coming out of everywhere,' he said, prompting a shocked Lisa to laugh
